The Military Family Research Institute is a cross-departmental research program housed at Purdue University and funded by the Department of Defense, Office of Military Community and Family Policy. The mission of MFRI is to conduct interdisciplinary, multilevel research that provides insight into the impact of quality of life factors on military members and their families.

The resources fall into 3 groups: First, there are citations of relevant articles on such topics as combat trauma, the impact of deployment on troops & their families, the challenges of returning home after discharge, bereavement, and providing clinical services to troops and their families. A few of these are available online, and where possible, I've provided links. Second, there are links to helpful organizations and programs, such as aid and assistance programs for each branch of the service, Operation Uplink, Operation Military Support, Military Spouse Career Center, Seamless Transition for Veterans returning from Iraq & Afghanistan, Veteran Employment site, legal information & resources for military personnel and their families, National Military Family Association, Military Sentinel, Operation Family Fund, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, Books for Soldiers, and Fisher House. Third, there are links to United States military organizations.

This web site is intended to supplement the resources of your installation's Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP)/Spouse Employment Assistance Program (SEAP) by bridging the gaps, empowering you with additional resources to facilitate self-management of your career development, and helping to develop more and better employment opportunities for us all. Teaching America to respond to military loss.

This web site is dedicated to the surviving spouses and dependents of military personnel who died while in active military service and to the survivors of veterans who died after active service. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide quality information and assistance to family members suffering the loss of their husbands and wives, sons and daughters, and mothers and fathers.

The site features several publications for Individual Augmentees and family members. Handbooks provide basic information about preparing and managing an IA deployment. They are updated quarterly to ensure you have the most current information.

Although primarily designated to answer the questions a spouse may have, this guide provides a valuable resource to all family members who may have questions about these entitlements and benefits or simply need to know who to contact for assistance.
